Rev. Robert Louis Scott Jr.

Rev. Robert Louis Scott Jr. was born on June 6, 1969, to Robert and Effie Scott Sr.., to which he speaks highly of; his mother being a prayer warrior and his father teaching him the value of work and how to be a man. He attended the East Baton Rouge public school system and is a 1988 graduate of Capital Senior High School. Rev. Scott has one sibling Ms. Furonia Scott Coleman. He is the father of one daughter and three sons Rayona, Robert III, Joshua, and Jonathan, and has 5 grandchildren.

Pastor Scott has a wonderful helpmate, Sis. Rosalyn Scott.

He was baptized at an early age at Star Hill B.C. under the Leadership of the late Pastor H.P. Green. In 1994 Pastor Scott met Rev. Kemp Thompson who ministered to him and from that encounter, he committed his life to Christ and join the Greater King David B.C. under the Leadership of Pastor John E. Montgomery II, where he was called to ministry in 1996.

While at Greater King David B.C. he worked with ministerial staff, Alter Ministry and Street Ministry. He returned to Star Hill B.C. under the Leadership of Pastor Raymond Jetson. Where he started the Tape Ministry, Evangelism team Ministry and Prison Ministry.

In 1995 Pastor Scott enrolled at the Christian Bible College and received his bachelor’s degree in Theology in 2002 and is currently working on his Master’s in Biblical Studies at Slidell Baptist Seminary

In 1999 he began attending church here at Nathaniel B.C. with his grandfather, his mentor.

On January 1, 2001, he was ordained here and in that same year, he became our Assistant Pastor at the Nathaniel Baptist Church.

Pastor Scott is affiliated with several religious organizations:

  • He is the President of the Youth Department of the Homochitto Baptist Association.
  • He is the Devotional Leader of the G. M. B. State Convention Congress of Christian Education MS and Coordinator for the Evangelistic Team of The G.M.B. State Convention of MS.
  • He is on the disaster Management Team for the State and National Convention.
  • He is the Chaplain of Mercy Funeral Home in Clinton, LA.
  • Pastor Scott regularly attends Conventions and Conferences locally and nationally.


Pastor Scott has been employed at East/West Copolymer in Baton Rouge for 24 years.

He is a dedicated and compassionate father; born again Christian who loves Evangelism, has a wonderful disposition, open-door policy and a burning desire to see others have a true and sincere relationship with God. He has a wonderful, genuine spirit; he has a sense of humor, loves a good movie and spending quality time with his family.
